Day 100/365: Marcus Aurelius on madness

Welcome to The Stoic Ledger, a daily money meditation from one of the Stoic sages.
100/365: Marcus Aurelius on madness
“Chasing what can’t be done is madness. But the base person is unable to do anything else.” – Marcus Aurelius
How much time do we waste looping around after things we know are futile?
Dancing in and out of positions when we should be buying and holding. Putting effort into a career with clear ceilings when we should look elsewhere.
Marcus is not suggesting we give up easy or avoid hard things, but that we gain clarity on what to continuously put our best at, and to avoid the trap of the common.
