Day 79/365: Epictetus on doing the thing you want to be

Welcome to The Stoic Ledger, a daily money meditation from one of the Stoic sages.
79/365: Epictetus on doing the thing you want to be
“If you would be a reader, read; if a writer, write.” – Epictetus
You have to do the thing to be the thing.
Save to be a saver.
Invest to be an investor.
Give to be a generous person (time or money).
We can’t think our way there with the mind alone. It’s necessary, mandatory, we act our way there.
